Accessibility Statement
This statement was prepared on 14 October 2025 following a self-assessment based on WCAG 2.1 AA guidelines. We intend to review this statement annually.
At Canyas, we believe everyone should be able to enjoy our story, our beers, and our website — regardless of ability. We’re committed to ensuring that canyas.org is accessible and usable for all people.
Our Commitment
We aim to meet or exceed the requirements of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These standards guide us in making web content more accessible to people with disabilities, including those using assistive technologies such as screen readers, magnifiers, and voice recognition software.
What We’re Doing
-
We use clean, semantic HTML and structured headings for screen reader compatibility.
-
We ensure sufficient contrast between text and background colours.
-
We provide alternative text for meaningful images.
-
We design navigation that is keyboard-friendly and consistent.
-
We regularly review our site for accessibility improvements as we expand our content.
Ongoing Effort
Accessibility is an ongoing process. As we evolve the site and launch new features, we continue to test and refine for accessibility. Some areas may not yet fully meet all guidelines, but we are actively working to improve them.
Our assessment methodology was with a manual human effort, reviewing the website internally.
